I was born in Bournemouth and decided to leave the area when I was 25, so I moved to Birmingham where I spent the next 36 years (apart from a gap in the middle when I lived in Cambridge and Leicester). I retired at 60 in 2005 and decided to move to Wales in 2006.
I love this area, the scenery is beautiful and I like the town where I live even though others are sometimes quite critical of it (because there are no big shops here).
Love going out on day trips - especially armed with my camera!!
In the past I have travelled through a fair bit of Europe, USA and Canada, but now I am a stay at home person and want to see a bit of the country that I live in.
I bought a Canon Ixus in August and that goes everywhere with me, but if I am going somewhere special I take my DSLR - a Pentax K110.
I adore trawling through the photos on flickr so that I can come up with different ideas.
My 2009 resolution was to lose the 4 stone that I was supposed to lose three years ago, I did manage to lose 20 pounds.
