Concurrently a student in Digital Media and Educational Leadership & Policy. I’m very interested in looking at how newer tools of communication can be used to empower communities of color, especially youth and young adults to
have a voice that isn’t discouraged by lack of knowledge in using emerging technologies.

Exploring issues of identity and social justice in local and global contexts, digital media is such a powerful and empowering tool that turns media consumers into creators. I see my task as exploring how to work with community and faith‐based leaders—youth and adults to tell their stories about the work they are doing and to nudge them to explore other ways of communicating what they do.
