Taught by Chicago photographer and father, Stanley C. Young, Sonya Young is inspired by found objects in nature. Though her photos and collages made with her photos, she shows the connection between material, objects, and people.
She has participated in numerous exhibits at the Peter Jones Gallery, Café Ennui, and an exhibit at Gallery E.G.G. She has taken photography classes at Roosevelt University and is a member of the Chicago Photo Network. She has donated pieces for the annual Inspiration Café art auction, La Casa Norte, and Creating Pride, an educational arts program.
