Sonic Avalanche means music that takes in on its auditors, unfolding now and then and even developing
cineastic dimensions with its ethereal sounds and unconventional beats as well as its wide melodic
lines. At the same time it makes you rock unconsciously and gives you wings. Sonic Avalanche from the Karlsruhe area (GER) have been very successful in several newcomer contests right from the beginning and meanwhile have become a well-known band within their home area. Due to the quality of their live music show they have had opportunities to play support shows with international bands like Junius. Recently, they have been performed on the center stage at the Karlsruher Festival "Das Fest" where they acted as opening band for -inter alia- Jan Delay.
In February 2008 their debut EP “How To Define Destiny” was released. Since then, they have tried to further extend their catchment area by their Epic Indie even outside Germany. At the end of 2008 they added the single “To Perceive Them As Happier...“ to their EP. Meanwhile they have already been busy working on
the songs for their first longplayer following their EP „How To Define Destiny“. They are still experimenting
and scouting the opportunities of the genre and sometimes even exceed its bounds. The influences are too manifold as to go straight ahead in only one direction. The new Album will be released at the end of the year.
