  "When I was 18 I would wait in anticipation for my film to be processed. And when I finally picked up the prints, I was discouraged to find that what I saw, the quality of the light, the mood, the emotions, were worlds away from what actually became my photographs. I had so much to learn. Well, at 18, Kera is worlds away from my teenage experience in her talent, her vision, her technical skills, in short, her ability to make what she sees and feels become reality in her images.
  
  She's a wonder.
  
  In one sense, it's easy to be surprised that she is so gifted and so young. But when you look closely at her images, when you see the freshness of her choices and her creative approach to even the simplest of subjects, it makes perfect sense that these beautiful photos come from someone with a youthful and joyful spirit. The world still holds beauty and wonder.
  
  Her photos have great warmth in tone and subject. Her compositions confront the essentials and draw you in. Her still lifes are anything but still. They are full of life and tell stories or beg for tales to be created around them.
  
  Every now and then on Flickr, there are those moments when we find someone who renews our belief in the power of photography and whose photos renew our faith in the simple beauty around us that we take for granted.
