I love the word "candidness". Who knew it was actually a word, but it was incorporated in a definition of "candid", so I guess it must be.

So I have been thinking about "candidness". Everything is in a constant state of candidness, isn't it? Even something orchestrated, posed, and constructed is in a state of candidness. Which is perhaps why I like taking photographs of photographers. It's a kind of behind-the-scenes secret.

I like photgraphs that reflect reality. Candidness. I'm a bit timid when it comes to photographing people, unlike this guy. But I'm getting there. I wonder if the rules in New Zealand are a little more strict than in other countries. People in New Zealand are angry and paranoid. Or is that just me?
