"C'è bisogno di Sociale" è lo slogan della prima edizione del "Social World Film Festival" che si terrà a Vico Equense (Costiera Sorrentina - Italia) dal 26 al 29 maggio 2011.

“Need of Social” is the slogan for the first edition of the "Social World Film Festival" that will take place in Vico Equense (Sorrento Coast - Italy) from 26th to 29th May, 2011.


La necessità di sociale è espressa dal fatto che sempre più persone si avvicinano ai cortometraggi, documentari, lungometraggi, molti dei quali a basso budget e/o indipendenti, a tematica sociale, "elaborati" che si spingono al racconto di fatti, situazioni, avvenimenti che ormai la tv, mezzo di comunicazione per eccellenza, non ha spazio per raccontare perchè troppo impegnata a produrre "spazzatura" o non vuole raccontare.

The necessity for social is expressed by the fact that always more people are approaching to short movies, documentaries, full length films, most of that are low cost or independent works with a social theme which tell events, situations, facts that TV, the most important mean of communication, has abandoned cause too busy in the production of “garbage” programs.


Nasce l'obbligo di pubblicizzare, sostenere, reclamizzare "materiale" che possa spingerci alla riflessione, che possa farci fermare a pensare in un mondo ormai corroso dalla veloce ed incalzante routine.

We feel the need of sponsoring, sustain and promoting works that can make us reflecting in a world too much contaminated by the quick daily routine.


Nasce, quindi, il “Social World Film Festival”, concorso cinematografico, momento di aggregazione culturale e sociale, luogo di denuncia e riflessione.

So, the “Social World Film Festival”, has born as a movie-maker competition, as a moment of cultural and social aggregation and as an event of reflection and denounce.


L’ambito di interesse del concorso è il cinema sociale inteso come mezzo di comunicazione internazionale, confronto oltre che contenitore di critica, sviluppo e promozione cinematografica.

The area of interest of the competition is the social cinema as a mean of international communication, confrontation and as a place for criticism, development and movie-maker promotion.


Il “Social World Film Festival” si propone come primo ed unico concorso dedicato interamente al cinema sociale nelle sue più ampie interpretazioni.

The “Social World Film Festival” is the first and the only competition totally dedicated to the social cinema in its widest interpretations.


Ma il “Social World Film Festival” è mondiale, come ben testimonia il nome, perchè non è un semplice festival, ma abbraccia qualsiasi festival nazionale ed internazionale, a tema o generico, di cortometraggi o lungometraggi, di videoclip o documentari, perchè il sociale è dappertutto, basta saperlo cogliere e promuovere.

The “Social World Film Festival” is planetary, as its name expresses, ‘cause it is not a simple festival, but it embraces any kind of National and International festival, generic, of short movies or full length films, of videoclips or documentaries, because the social is everywhere, you only need to perceive and promote it.


E' un festival nei festivals poiché i lungometraggi ed i cortometraggi in concorso sono stati premiati dal “Social World Film Festival” con il premio “Golden Spike” nei vari festivals Partners. E' un nuovo modo di concepire il festival, partecipando e facendo partecipare tutti i festivals cinematografici all'unisono sulle note del cinema sociale.

It is a festival among the festivals ‘cause short and full length movies have been rewarded in different competitions by the “Social World Film Festival” during the festival parteners. It is a new way of conceiving a festival, taking part and letting participating all the other Cinema Festivals together. and on "Golden Spike" prize.


Nei dodici mesi che precedono l’organizzazione del “Social World Film Festival”, la direzione artistica promuove ai vari festivals cinematografici nazionali ed internazionali, di genere o a tematica libera, la possibilità di far parte del Partenariato del “Social World Film Festival”.

During the twelve months before the organization of the “Social World Film Festival” the stage managing proposes to the different national and international movie-festivals (with a specific or unspecific theme) if they want to take part in the partnership of the “Social World Film Festival”.


Il Partenariato prevede che la direzione artistica del “Social World Film Festival” partecipi interamente al festival Partner tramite due delegati che, tra i lungometraggi e/o i cortometraggi in concorso, premiano l’elaborato che a proprio giudizio mostri le caratteristiche tecniche e narrative del cinema sociale.

The Partnership means that the stage managing of the “Social World Film Festival” takes a full participation in the festival Partners through two delegates that choose and award the most adapted movie to the technical and narrative characteristic of the social cinema, among all the full-length and short films.


Il lungometraggio o cortometraggio selezionato dalla direzione artistica del “Social World Film Festival” viene premiato durante il festival Partner con il premio “Golden Spike”.

The movie chosen is awarded by the stage managing with the “Golden Spike” prize.


Il periodo possibile per partecipare al Partenariato del “Social World Film Festival” va dal 01 marzo 2010 al 31 marzo 2011.

The suitable period of time for participating in the “Social World Film Festival” is from March the 1st 2010 to March the 31st 2011.


La partecipazione al Partenariato del “Social World Film Festival” è assolutamente e totalmente gratuita.

The participation in the “Social World Film Festival” is totally free.


Il lungometraggio o cortometraggio che per la direzione artistica del “Social World Film Festival”, tra quelli in concorso al Festival Partner, mostri le caratteristiche tecniche e narrative del cinema sociale viene premiato durante il festival Partner con il premio “Golden Spike”.

The feature film or the short film with the stage menagement of “Social World Film Festival” ,that shows technical and narrative features of social film, will be given the “Golden Spike” award during the festival Partner.


Il premio “Golden Spike” è realizzato a mano dal Maestro Salvatore Nuzzo e consiste in una targa in terracotta ricoperta a foglie in oro ed incorniciata.

The “Golden Spike” award is an earthenware plate, framed by golden leaves. The award is made by the professor Salvatore Nuzzo.


I materiali utilizzati per la realizzazione del premio ripercorrono il significato pieno del “Social World Film Festival”: la terracotta a rappresentare la terra, simbolo per eccellenza del sociale, e l’oro simbolo della spiga di grano, emblema rappresentativo del “Social World Film Festival”.

The materials used for the award bring back to the mere meaning of the “Social World Film Festival” : the earthenware represents earth, symbol of the being social; golden, symbol of the ear of wheat, image of the “Social World Film Festival”.


I costi di realizzazione del premio “Golden Spike” sono a carico totale dell’Associazione “Social World Film Festival” onlus, finanziatore dell’evento e del suo Partenariato.

The costs of the “Golden Spike” award are totally at the association “Social World Film Festival”, backer of the event.


L’autore del lungometraggio o cortometraggio vincitore del premio “Golden Spike” verrà contattato dall’organizzazione del festival Partner per il ritiro del premio.

The author of the feature film or the short film, that will win the “Golden Spike” award will be contacted by the organization of the festival Partner, to take the award.


Tutti e solo i vincitori del premio "Golden Spike" entro il 31 marzo 2011 potranno partecipare alla prima edizione del "Social World Film Festival" che si terrà a Vico Equense (Costiera Sorrentina - Italia) dal 26 al 29 maggio 2011.

Everyone, not only the winners of the “Golden Spike” award will be able to take part (within 31st March 2011) to the first edition of “Social World Film Festival” that will take place in Vico Equense (Sorrento Coast - Italy) from 26th to 29th May, 2011.
