I'm based in the Northe-West of England not too far from the Peak District national park. Needless to say that provides some great countryside and scenery to enjoy and photograph. You'll also find some pictures of the Yorkshire Dales, Lake District, Wales, and even some foreign climes!

One of the things I find fascinating about photography is how everyone sees different things in a scene and approaches subjects in their own way. Finding a unique way of looking at and capturing something is surely one of the most rewarding aspects of taking pictures.

For many years I used film and digital compact cameras as I dislike carrying a big camera and lenses around - I like to enjoy whatever I'm doing first and photograph it second - but I've gone and bought a Nikon D5100 so we'll see what transpires! Using an 18-135 on it at the moment.

I still have many many pics to organise and eventually I'll get round to putting some of them onto Flickr. In the meantime please enjoy the pics that are here and do leave a comment if you like them.
