Aloha.

I'm a librarian (full time, paid) and drummer (part time, mostly not paid).

In terms of photography - I'm a newbie. I took at class in high school eons ago, but likely forgot everything I might have learned.

My current approach to learning photography (not in any particular order):

- Look at lots of photos
- Take lots of photos
- Play with the software
- Read photography books, blogs & magazines

If I've favorited your photos, I probably like the way you see things and present them. Your photos inspire me to keep trying, and maybe I'll even learn something from you.

Sometimes you'll see the same photo in my stream over and over, with different effects or cropping, or whatever. I'm just studying what happens if I do this, or this, or that.

I don't have a "real" camera; I have a 3GS iPhone.

I gaze enviously upon all the gorgeous photos others take with good equipment. And yet, I'm OK challenging myself: can I manage to take a nice photo (defined as "one I like") with my toy camera and the software I have? Realistically, if I had an actual camera, I probably wouldn't use it much, because I wouldn't have it with me all the time. So it's just as well.

Anyway, I hope you find enjoyment from a photo or two of mine, and I hope you find more to like over time.
