Thank you for visiting my photo stream and appreciating the shots I've taken. Photography is a hobby for me but I'm very passionate about it. I am self taught, started taking more serious pictures only from 2008 onwards

I don't use Photoshop or any other manipulative programs on my photos; Straight Out From The Camera!
I want the most accurate replication of the scene as I saw it. Most photos I come across have been altered by amazing programs but I believe that it's all in the moment, the eye and most often, the lens.
Most I might do is adjust a bit on lighting and such because of hazy conditions etc.
I live and work in Shanghai and photography is also a means for me to document life around me, preserving the current for the future as the evolution of this country continues forward at such a fast pace.

All these manual lens use converters that unfortunately show incorrect EXIF info.

Also using Expodisc to help set proper white balance. This gizmo is GREAT!!

I make it a point to comment on photos when I come across them in other people's streams as a sign of respect and appreciation for their work and effort. I hope to receive the same.
I say this cause I have more than 100,000 views since June 2009 on my photos already but get only a few constructive comments....

Also, I'm very grateful and respectful for the supportive advice and constructive comments that I receive when I correspond with the various experts I meet on Flickr via Flickr mail. Each has their field of expertise and that's a whole spectrum here!
