I've been a web producer since 1996. When I bought my first 'proper' digital camera, in 1998, I promptly sold my darkroom. I don't like darkrooms - they're dark, and I'm allergic to washing up.

Apart from commercial photography for customers' web sites, I have been a point-and-shoot merchant, snapping merrily away with a tiny camera and enjoying the many thousands of photos I have stored.


I was reluctant to go back to the days when I lugged a bag full of camera bodies and lenses with me wherever I went, so I have compromised and now have a little pocket-sized camera for everyday use and and a not-too-chunky SLR type thingy for days when I feel inspired.

My darkroom is of the digital variety - it doesn't involve darkness or washing up!
