Quick question: If you're going to slop your photo up with watermark so badly that it's not view-able, why bother posting it?

Seems people were intimidated by me being a smelly old geezer so a name change was in order.

I believe photos are best when they are biggest. I don't see the sense of posting a photo on Flickr if you AREN'T going to post it so anyone can see it full sized.

If you post a photo and I see it and feel inclined, I may comment on it. I usually won't say anything negative about your photo and may actually say something comical. If you don't like what I said, feel free to delete it. If I do something to offend you, please let me know so I can correct my behavior. I am not here in any way to hurt or cause pain to anyone. I'm only here for fun.

I am just a guy who likes photos. It doesn't matter if it's an old fire truck or a beautiful young girl, they are all beautiful to me. I just got a new Nikon D80 camera with a 18 x 55 lense and a 70 x 300 lense. Woo Hoo! Lots a fun.

I used to own a fashion model agency called Northwest Talent and spent a lot of time looking to recruit models on One Model Place . Old habits die hard. Although I no longer have an agency, I still enjoy "scouting" models. Still have some of my contacts as well and when I see one that I believe could do well, I have been known to forward that on.

When I was a kid in school, I was told that I didn't have a creative bone in my body, that I had no imagination and should pursue a career as something like a garbage truck driver. Then I bought a computer. One day, I saw my son Thor doing some things in Paint on the computer. It was interesting to me how he was able to take Justin Timberlake and make him look like Brittany Spears. So I asked him to show me how to do a few things. My imagination grew.

About 5 years ago, my wife gave me a copy of Photoshop Elements for Christmas but it wouldn't run on my old computer. I tried upgrading but it just didn't work. So I bought a new computer. (Wife still says I really made out that year.) With the new computer came a product called Paintshop Pro. My lack of creativity has been running wild since.

It seems like, every time you buy something, you need something else. It was fine, I suppose, to edit someone else's photos with my new computer but really, I needed a camera of my own. A couple of years ago, my boss at work gave me a little Sony Cybershot U camera. It's not much but it will take a shot. Then I needed someone to shoot so I attended some group photoshoots but didn't feel like I could ask most of the models to shoot with me, with my crummy little camera. And now it's been so long, I really need a newer computer again. It's always something.

Well, in August 2007, my mother died and left me a little money. Now I have a new computer, a new camera and I'm ready to go. I find myself looking for photo opportunities now. Look out world, here I come.

    Gary Cavanaugh says:

"What can a person say about the geezer? He's funny (but looks aren't everything), good humored, and just a nice guy to be around. He's very loyal to his friends on Flickr and believes a person shouldn't be judged by actions taken 20 years ago. Today is what's important, and who you are today is as well.

If he were any more humble, there would have to be two of him. Did I mention that he's also very pretty? For a fat guy.

His stream is a collection of odd photos from his history. Although the quality could use some improvement, there's one or two in there that are interesting. Sadly, because of oddballs on the WWW, most of the best stuff is friend or family in order to see it.

Now, if he'd just spend a buck and get a real camera, that would be good. Oh, and if he'd learn how to set up a shot, that would be good too. And how to click the camera without jerking his arm. And how to focus. And what makes good content. You know, I'm not sure you want to see anything here...."
