But seriously...

Travel and photography -- both vocations and avocations for me depending on the day -- share the same purpose. As Tolkien said, in the guise of Frodo, "He looked at maps and wondered what lay beyond the edges", so too did Weegee say of his crime scene photos, "...it's all there in the picture... except what lays off to the side of course."

The wonder of what 'lies beyond the edges' or just around the next corner is what drives me.
