SlitCell, a melodic metalcore/groove metal four piece from Liverpool, UK is made up of Jack Langfeld (drums), Adam Gaskill (guitars & vocals), Mike Woodward (guitars & vocals) and Alex Chan (bass). SlitCell today is very much built on the backbone of Jack & Adam's former band which recruited Amy on Bass followed a few months later by Mike on guitar, during the process of reforming as SlitCell. Amy was then replaced by Alex on Bass in March 2009.

The band spent considerable time searching for a lead vocalist before Mike revealed the talent that was on their doorstep all along. Mid way through 2008 momentum began to build, the band wrote new material, signed management and production deals with local music company Black Mammoth Music, appointing Ben Langfeld as the band's manager; played a slot at the Big Fat Summer Bash 2.0 at Liverpool Carling Academy and recorded a demo EP, 'As Light Fades', at Sandhills Studios in Liverpool.

After a busy period through the end of 2008 and the start of 2009, playing a headline show at the O2 Academy Liverpool on 17th April in support of the 20th April release of 'As Light Fades', the band plan to gig as much as possible around the North West through the rest of the year in order to get their music heard as widely as possible and increase their profile on the local and national metal scene.
