I've been a birder for a long time, and started taking photos of birds several years ago, starting with a Nikon D50 and 80-400mm VR, and then a D200 and D300s with the 300mm f4 (AFS) and the Nikkor TC14e. I'm saving for the 300mm 2.8, or 400mm 2.8.
I love being outdoors and I love taking pictures. Birds in particular capture my interest, and are all around us, always. I'm fascinated by their role in the environment's ecology and intrigued by their social behavior.
