WHO ARE THE MEMBERS OF THE S.K.Y. STREETBALL SYNDICATE?

You may have heard of some of them. If you have not, you soon will.

They are legends on the streets of the world. Legends of the blacktop for their sport of basketball. From places like Brooklyn, the Bronx, Atlanta, Dallas and Washington D.C.

They are legends on the Internet. Eye candy, some say. A 720-degree dunk. An alley-oop above the rim with a windmill throw down. A kick pass. A flurry of dribbling. A look-away pass so perfect the recipient need not do anymore than take the leather package and send it through an iron rim to the thundering applause of those in the seating gallery.

They are an American urban mosaic, painting black and white and gray shades with streaks of yellow and orange to accent their trade as well as mission.

Most of all, they are ambassadors with a bend on sports and education. Emissaries of hope for some, using basketball as the pulpit from which to send a message of helping youth.

They are currently some of the best streetball basketball players in the world. Historic names like "Main Event", "Shane the Dribbling Machine", "Half Man - Half Amazing", "Spyda and " Mr. 720". New stars like "Pat Da Roc", "High Rizer" and The "Rain Man".

They are the S.K.Y. team making its debut on a world Tour this Summer. They have put no limits on what they can do, or tell for that matter.

Legacy

Walk on to any crowded urban playground in the United States (or world for that matter) with one of the S.K.Y. players and you will certainly be met by autograph seekers and fans. They are legends and models within their sphere of influence.

These are the programs that will perpetuate the S.K.Y. legacy:


School and neighborhood stops (athletes appear at high school, middle schools, and elementary schools in participating locations)
A specially designed school curriculum highlights basketball and lesson plans using geography, math, science, etc.
S.K.Y. is creating a social networking site using athletes in mentoring roles as well as showcase their basketball moves.

Corporate donation back at each community stop as part of sponsorship ties.

Use streetball as way to share vital messages about the importance of education, the importance of staying drug-free and the importance of making the right choices in life.

Create a family oriented environment that has entertainment, music and a community give back.

Create a legacy with direct financial support to recreational centers in select world cities.
