I'm a professional photographer and photography teacher who shoots mostly at night, and mostly in black and white film in a view camera... and a 5D.
I'm using Flickr to explore new ideas and get feedback on images before printing them.
I welcome comments on my images, but would rather not have "awards". I don't find them very useful. Flickr is not a popularity contest for me. I comment on photos when I can, and try to make the comments meaningful, but often favorite images that I find inspiring without commenting.
That said, if you favorite one of my images, I will check out your photostream. If I see something I like, I'll add you as a contact. If I get that "So and so has nothing available to you" message, I will block your ass. It's all about sharing, you know?

Testimonials
JMichaelSullivan says:
"Well, without a doubt, Lance is one of the best photographers I've had the pleasure to have known. His sensitivity and dedication to perfection epitomizes for me what photography is all about."
Lost America says:
"I've known Lance for . . . going on decades now. Me and him, we go way back. Always a font of night photography knowledge, the fact that he's also a truly nice guy who is willing to share that knowledge makes him one of my favorite photographers. Oh, and his work is fantastic too, did I mention that?"
Andy Frazer says:
"Lance was one of my original night photography instructors. His carefully-crafted b/w night photographs have always been a great inspiration to my own work. Check out his beautiful shots of the Lowell Mills on his website: www.thenightskye.com."
