SOLIDARITÉS JEUNESSES est une association loi 1901. Fondé en 1923, à la suite de la première guerre mondiale, par des protestants français et allemands, SJ fut dès son origine un mouvement de laïcs, convaincus de la nécessité de dépasser les frontières nationales, confessionnelles et culturelles pour travailler à la paix. S’appuyant sur un réseau associatif en régions, Solidarités Jeunesses a développé une action vers et avec les jeunes, autour de chantiers internationaux, lieux d’échanges multiculturels, de décloisonnements inter-générations et de solidarités actives.

SOLIDARITES JEUNESSES is an association under law 1901, and formerly the French branch of the international Youth Action for Peace movement. Founded in 1923 after World War I by French and German Protestants, YAP was from its creation non-denominational, and aims to surpass national, denominational and cultural borders to work toward peace. Supported by a regional network, Solidarités Jeunesses has developed actions with and aimed at youth through international workcamps, centers of multicultural exchange, breaching the generation gap and promoting solidarity activities.
