David Taylor is an award winning photographer based in Wasilla, Alaska. He specializes in landscape, wildlife, and adventure photography. His passion for photography and photo instruction stems from his deep love of the environment - what he calls Alaska's Wild Lands & Wild Life. He got his start in photography while on deployment with the U.S. Army, in Bosnia, as part of a joint peacekeeping mission. In this war torn land, with its pock-marked and bullet-ridden buildings, surrounded by millions of scattered and unmapped mine fields - Dave encountered an ancient and beautiful land.
Dave is also an avid writer. He uses his photography and writing to raise awareness regarding conservation issues, as well as to teach new and developing photographers how to grow their skills and take their images to a new level.
In 2007, David opened the doors on his new business venture - Sixtyone North. Sixtyone North is a photo adventure tour & workshop company that specializes in sharing the amazing photographic opportunities of Alaska, with clients from around the globe. He is a gifted and passionate instructor. His workshops and tours focus on photographic techniques for digital photographers in amazing locations.
