The Sister Mary Carmel McGarigle Archives actively collects, organizes, preserves and makes available information of enduring research value in all formats created by the administrators, alumni, benefactors, donors, faculty, staff, and students of Misericordia University.

The Archives also collects and maintains records created by the College’s founders and continuing sponsors, the Sisters of Mercy. The archival holdings include a variety of formats including manuscripts, correspondence, meeting minutes, photographs, scrapbooks, rare books, pamphlets, dissertations, publications, newspapers, maps, architectural drawings, memorabilia, audio/visual recordings, and other ephemera that support the Library’s mission to better serve the needs of the university community.
