hello hello.
Many thanks for visiting.

A word on respect...
The sad truth is, I thought I would never ever have to say this as I assumed flickr to be a community of honest photographers, artists, + lovers of both who respected their neighbours' boundaries. Unfortunately, after experiencing a series of unsavory events concerning others abusing this community apart from what it is originally intended for, I need to put this out there for the record...

If you are interested in using my work, please contact me first before pulling any of my images for your own use. It is a common courtesy that should not have to be addressed in words.

Please note that I always screen anyone who decides to add me as their contact or favourites any of my photos. I do this purely for curiosity's sake—to put it nicely, I want to know that your interest for my photos is coming from good + honest intentions—and importantly for security reasons—I have loved ones featured in my collection + would not want to subject them to vulgar, obscene, + tasteless content or intentions.

Thank you for understanding.

P.S. Select content from this stream is accessible by invitation only. If you are a good friend or family using flickr, message me + I'll give you access to see all our smiling faces. I apologize to the rest of you... Can never be too careful on the internets.

Abridged for the easily distracted...
Although I do enjoy taking the time to compose creative explorations from time to time [particularly with self-portraiture], my primary interest in photography has always been to record the spontaneity of every day life as it happens around me. I use my camera as my pen to visually document my life's perennial journal. The memories + the people I share them with is my true inspiration. That is what's important. Without them, life can get pretty bland, don't you agree?

I believe...
_ Emotion is essential.
_ Timing is everything.
_ I'm not afraid of colour.
_ I'm not ashamed of blur.
_ So long as the image evokes a feeling, I have achieved my purpose.
