I'm still learning and practising as far as photography is concerned; very much an enthusiastic novice and still surprised when pictures turn out the way I wanted them to.
Not arty, or technical - just a record of people, places and snapshots in time.

I especially relished the challenge of trying to capture the magic of QE2 over the summer of 2008. As well as the bittersweet experience of knowing it was to be my last time onboard a ship that had truly captured my heart.

So I started Flickring hoping that those photographs will provide me, and others, with memories to treasure of that wonderful old ship and marvellous times onboard.

I'm also having a blast wandering the halls of flickr; finding so many other fabulous QE2 images and sharing stories and recollections with fellow fans; some of whom have become friends in real life.
