I'I’m a Ph.D. Candidate in the Chicano Latino Studies at Michigan State University. I received a B.A. in Chicana/o Studies from San Diego State University and a M.A. in Chicana/o Studies from California State University, Northridge.

My areas of research are Labor, Migration, and Working-Class Histories, Community-Based Organizations/Community Activism, Social and Political Movements, Critical Pedagogy, and Archival Preservation & Museum Studies.

I was an Assistant Archivist at Urban Archives Center, California State University, Northridge where I oversaw the processing of Rodolfo F. Acuña Collection, Julian Nava Collection, Mother of East Los Angeles Papers, and other Chicano/Latino collections.

I have been active as a community organizer for over a decade with the Committee on Raza Rights (CRR) and Raza Press and Media Association (RPMA).
