I am an enthusiastic amateur who has just started again after a long time. I have a lot to learn but just love taking photos!
I started when I was 18/19 (and stopped around early 20's) with SLR's which seemed quite easy compared with the DSLR nowadays, or is that because I'm fast approaching 51!

I love taking my camera out there and just having a go.
I have just upgraded from a Nikon D5000 to a D7000 and use an 18-200mm. I also use a nikon 10-24, 18-70, 35, 50 and 70-300mm as well as a set of extension tubes.

I am my own worst critic and therefore will not upload an image unless I'm happy with it or I need advice from other flickr users. All constructive comments are always welcome!

Please, please, please, do not post awards - i will only delete them. If you dont want to comment, which is fine, dont post an award instead!

Someone once said that photography is 80% observation and 20% skill. Thank heavens its that way round!

I have been married to a very understanding flickr widow for 26 years and have two teenage children who I seem to embarass on a regular basis!
