"De laatste tijd begin ik een afkeer te krijgen van mensen die zich ''fotograaf'' noemen wanneer ze zichzelf duizenden keren achter elkaar fotograferen [vooral meisjes?]. De originaliteit is ver te zoeken. Mensen met een grote camera noemen zichzelf ook vaker een fotograaf. Ten onrechte.
Ik ben trots dat er tenminste nog één iemand van mijn leeftijd te vinden is die meer documentarisch plekken vastlegt. Geen extra franjes, gewoon een foto. Meer is er in veel gevallen niet nodig. Oefening is ervaring.
