A bit of an old spirit really that has done a strange walkabout and has learned much about the human condition. Its altogther very strange feeling aged 500 and still having a child's eye sometimes...Isn't it strange though being alive at all with such oceans of deep Time about ..

The miraculous is the ordinary. At least I have re-learned that...I think I forgot it for a while though when I wore the armour of younger years . Lucky it rusted and fell off really wasn't it ...?

Interested in poetry and illustrations particularly . A cheek practitioner from severe comedy acids to pure light with smiles. I am also a sculptor and an artist. I like photography and photographers with an eidetic eye. They teach me how to re-look at realities.

Wear the soul
Of the Child's
Eyes :
Empathic so
Even rocks can bleed
Oh
Practice vision
So soul's can feed
Hold all dusts
With respects
Kiss the days
And let that kiss
Wander finally inside
Eternities...

    stagewhisper says:

"Sivisrivers wages his artist's and poet's battle against artifice, cynicism, alienation, and detachment with the weapons of words and images, not to divide and conquer, but to humanely invite his audience to forge connections- not only to others, but to their inner-most selves as well. His process of interaction and organically evolving words and images invites us all to want to be more open, more caring, more *engaged*. I always come away from his work somehow changed, enriched, hopeful, and (honestly) awestruck."

"What can I say about Silvis except that the work produced is some of the best work not only on flickr but anywhere that is being written today. What a gem-the words appear to flow so easily but yet they are so comlpex and in depth. It feels like you are reading both Walt Whitman and Silvia Plath at the same time-it takes you in and catches you off guard, while you are admiring it's beauty-Very demanding and very loyal to it's audience. Great work!!!!"

"how does one write a testimonial for a dream weaver, soul catcher, graphite singer, color dancer, word juggler, magic maker and tight rope walker? Yeah, like Philippe Petit, Silvisrivers can probably walk the high wire too. One with the unvierse he is, or the souls of, anyway.

your poems always take me to a better place,

    Lynn Morag says:

"Silvis Rivers .... a melody of silvery, sparkling, waterful art tumbling towards a destiny both old and new. But while dancing merrily along, carried on silver glints of laughing rivers look out for the currents that run so deep for they are mighty powerful.

Silvis .... a spirit of the woods, maybe even a purple bunny ... woods that reach to the air, to freedom, to the skies: woods that conceal a hundredfold lives, invisible, meaningful lives whose hearts beat individually and together in the pulse and rhythm of the world.

Silvis' is an overflowing talent that spills words and art in harmonies from the soul .... look lightly if you will, flit or dive, for here will be found a resting place, or maybe a questing place, for all who come to visit."

"Silves is a crystal chant to the wonderfulness of the universe... and a messenger, a pointer of the goodness everything holds within. Gifted with merry tunes, magical words and hands of gold he spreads the rhymes of love and peace and reaches out the farthest lands and melts the harder hearts. You are deifnitely a treasure the world should cherish dear. A Delight.""

    Violet Danger says:

    "Silvisrivers:
    he is our conscience
    and our heart
unflinching, he'll sear your soul with honesty
then soothe you in the rivers of his silver prose
    add a band-aid of beauty
and the kiss of a poet
    and viola!
He has left you better than he found you.

Every once in a while - on the spur of the moment - you stumble across something (or it stumbles across you) so beautiful it is immediately cherished. Let the colors of your river run with his, and I promise you won't be disappointed."

"Silvisrivers creates unique art. The images move me greatly and I deeply admire what Silvisrivers has accomplished.

Silvisrivers is as creative in pictures as in prose: he has been kind enough to add some words of original thoughts to my Flickr pages and I am truly grateful.

I agree with billywarhol's sentiments (and I am sure a load of others will strongly agree with me in the future): Flickr's gain in having Silvisrivers is beneficial for all those online art/creativity/spirituality/prose-aware people.

Thank you for being here Silvisrivers."

"Slivisrivers does these amazing, image-conjuring, dancerly, poems on the spot! You are right to think them a perfect compliment to the photo he picks. The photo and poem seem to have been created for each other. The poems are inspired by the photo he picks, and we are inspired by his consumate ballet of words!

Now If I could just find a poem of his and match it as elegantly with a photo of mine - Ahh!"
