I am an ageing bloke grand father to seven sprats. I describe myself as slightly cultivated, kind and sometimes grumpy.

A keen photographer most of my life I have followed the trends film to digital.
I describe myself as an opportunist street photographer with a keen interest in sport, outdoors, lighthouses and birds.
My working life did include periods as a paid photographer in the 70's and 80's when I worked as a sports photographer for the now defunct Melbourne Sunday Observer.
Now in retirement I return some of my knowledge to others by teaching at the local Community College (we used to call it Adult Education) and also the local Neighborhood House.
When I found that I was under prepared for the task of teaching I completed 2 year Diploma of Photo Imaging at Sale TAFE.
Being 70 years old I helped lift the average age of my class to the early 30's.LOL

I quote a photographer friend of mine. "Photography is a journey with no conceivable destination."

I have used Nikon camera gear since 1972. In recent times I have acquired a small herd of assorted non Nikon P&S cameras. They like to bred in dark places!
