I'm always taking photos of things to see what they look like. I like to use my flash in the daylight, just to flatten out space. I like to keep things a bit lo-fi, and utterly earnest.

The romantic in me likes to take photos of the ground, of spills and the remains of spills, of dead things, things that are poetic in the way of the industrial valley from long ago...

And lately, I've been photographing buildings in the state of construction. But it's hard not too, since I live in Brooklyn, and it is in a frenzy of luxury loft building. All that yellow and green and pink insulation, Playskool all the way.
