Not Christian or Jew or Muslim, not Hindu

"Silandi is not only an excellent photographer, but also a very good friend. She was my first contact on flickr and although we have never met in person, she makes me feel like I have known her for years.

Her photostream is very creative and full of surprises. With silandi there never is a dull moment. She takes you from the beautiful landscapes of China, Siberia and Germany to daily-life photographs and pictures full of symbolism. She has a beautiful set of the shamans of Siberia. Shamans are intermediaries between the human and spirit worlds. According to believers, they can treat illness and are capable of entering supernatural realms to obtain answers to the problems of their community.

Silandi, as an artist, observes the real world and transforms her impressions into worlds of images, whereat a concrete meaning often remains locked, and the observers are incited to independent interpretations.

Silandi has a perfect eye for the right capture and does miracles changing photographs into mysterious abstract art. She is a kind and loving person and I am happy to call her my friend. Thanks, silandi!"
