signalstation's photostream |
I work in San Francisco during the week.
I think I focus on graffiti and street art as a reaction to how much I loathe the ubiquity of advertising on city streets. Your eyes can't look anywhere without something trying to entice you to spend money.
I used to write fiction online, but that sort of stopped. I used to draw, but that sort of stopped.
I'm waiting to find out what I'm going to be up to next.

Many of the photos I take are available for use under a creative commons license. I work in a creative field myself and have been very grateful for the generosity of fellow Flickr users with their work.
While I have a no-commercial use restriction on the images, if you ask, I'm usually pretty easy about granting a waiver. I just didn't want to see my images elsewhere commercially without even having been contacted by email.

"I remember the first time I met the signalstation, at the traffic lights at the front of the AMTRACK building... oh happy times.
If only he'd left a few of them alive, I might have got home on time. Bollocks!
Oh and keep-it-real-frog is the dopest thing to ever sport a pair of speedos especially with no ..
Bollocks!"12th August, 2004

Meer says:
"Mister Signalstation is responsible for my education regarding the trials of superheroes, losing body parts in bloody ways to sexy women, and the average pen's lifestyle in signalstation's household. I'm not sure I wanted to know the first two. I do, however, want to know how he keeps such a cool aura of mystifying joie de vivre.
I had a better testimonial, which I captured into a beautiful stained glass window. Then in a freak accident, a priest burst into my house and destroyed it. I may never understand, and may the world always rue the loss of signalstation's window."10th June, 2004
