Sightline Institute is a not-for-profit research and communication center--a think tank--based in Seattle and founded in 1993 by Alan Durning. Our mission is to bring about sustainability--a healthy, lasting prosperity grounded in place. It's a slow-motion revolution, but it's happening.
Nonpartisan and wholly independent, Sightline's only ideology is commitment to the shared values of strong communities, fair markets, and responsible stewardship. Our focus is Cascadia, or the Pacific Northwest.
As part of that mission, we Sightliners create some pretty awesome maps and graphics (if we do say so ourselves) that help tell important stories -- from the impact of climate change to the promise of walkable communities. You can see a full catalog at www.sightlne.org/mapsWe're all about having people use these in their work toward a healthier economy and way of life, so please download, use them, and send us feedback!
