累了吗.. 问自己's photostream  

In my teens, I loved drawings. I remembered I was always being reprimanded by teachers for not paying attention cos I doodled too much on my textbooks.

In my twenties, I picked up oil painting. The passion was so strong that once I hold a brush, I would paint all night through into the wee hours.

Now into my 30s, the beginning of a journey with a camera in hand.

This pic started it all.

Prior to the trip to Cambodia, I never believe in taking pictures. I am left-hander and camera are made for right-handers. And while I do enjoy looking at some great pics from National Geographic, I never thought it would be so gratifying to be behind the viewfinder.

Suddenly a whole new world is introduced to me. A world of lights, lights and more lights. Words like strobe, composition, post-process would immediately render attention.

Some areas I really like are photojournalism where you capture moments of ppl that would otherwise lost in a breeze.

I have tried wedding photography too but hmm.. kinda of lacking talent/interest in that area or I am just not well-equipped (my excuse of cos).

And since I am really into portrait, I have grown to like portrait editorial photography with a lot of effort being put into the post-proccessing. Whenever I have opportunity to do so, I would usually try to add a tinge of art in them as shown below.



Almost every decade I am learning something new. While I have stopped painting (the brush dried), I do hope I can grow more into photography. A world of lights and people.
