Hi, I'm Tania Alexis Clarke, visual artist behind Side B Design Studio. With a degree in Fine Arts and Multimedia Studies, I started off in 2005 as a graphic and web designer. Within a couple of years I decided I wanted to get away from the screen and play with a blank canvas...so I did.

Now I find myself frequently creating new mixed media paintings, going out on random photo shoots, and occasionally going back to the computer to create digital art. It became fairly clear to me by September of 2008 that this is what I'm meant to do, because I've never been more content.

Why the name 'Side B'? Music is very important in my life, and I have something playing almost constantly while I create new work. Side B is the flipside of the record - the unexplored and neglected side that begs to be played. When you finally put the needle down, it is often a special tune full of pleasant surprises. This is the philosophy behind Side B - never be afraid to take the path less followed.
