Until Shoshanna painted a picture of a corn maiden, I had no idea what she was painting. It certainly didn’t look like a cob of corn or resemble the kind of maidens I see in Glamour magazine.

When I went to the internet to research them, I found a piece of me in those who collected stone ornaments called corn maidens.

You see, I have a thing about smooth stones. Whenever I would go out hiking or kayaking I invariable would bring back at least one small stone flattened by time in fast moving full spring creeks.

I would take them a put them in a jar in my room to remind me of a small piece of creation made by God.

Spend time with Shoshanna's photo stream. Her works remind me of that jar of rocks….. I like to look at them all -- after she’s been out exploring on her quest."
