And I especially appreciate his eye--he has a sense for the South, and the way it is impacted by modernity.   "Well... Don amazes me. I keep thinking (for some reason) that I know where he's going and then his next set of shots blow me away. For a cynic in reform, he is one of the most pleasant, supportive and positive people I've come across in this community. His comments are so honest and thoughtful that at times I find myself stumped as what to say about his own stream, because I'd like to at least TRY to be that candid and give him the amount of time he gives others. I don't know how. But I try, and it's because of him that I do.
  His shots are honest, simple, complex, interesting... just like his own words. Glad to have made his acquaintance, absolutely."

Just take a look at his FG series, a remarkable set of old film shots that highlight his travels around North Carolina along with trips to Florida and Athens.
