Sometime picture taker. Always learning.

Now the important part so we know where we stand.

Please feel free to comment on my images so I can learn what is going well or where I could improve.

Contacts.

Please be aware I do not post regularly; often 1 image every couple of days or so. This is so you do not get bored and I don't swamp your photostream. Sometimes this may be more and the gap will be longer. This means I will drop out of your immediate memory and you will need to keep a quick eye on my photostream in case you miss something.

Other times I will add a couple of images at a time on one day - please just be aware this will happen or you may miss them.

So, having read the above, you chose to add me as a contact.
In which case, firstly take a breath and consider this.

I will study your images and comment on them. Just a few words or a suposedly funny comment means that "its a good image that is most likely beyond my level of critique.

If you simply receive a 'dot' that is my way of letting you know I have viewed your image but have no useful comment to make. I have simply enjoyed viewing your image.

However if there is something in the image that I do not find pleasing TO ME then I will comment on your image " as if I had taken it and this is what I would do if it's my image"
Of course it's not, it's yours, so please do not be offended.

If I chose to add you as a contact it's most likely because I perceive your skill level is greater than mine and I will look and learn. I will provide comments as I think appropriate in order to strike up a dialogue. You do not have to respond.
But of course like most people I appreciate a reciprocal comment..

If you comment and become a regular contributor to my images, you will be come to me, a valued contact. Should you continue as a valued contributor I will upgrade you to the status of a "friend". You will know that if you are allowed to see certain images.

I have great expectations from "friends".

Favourites - it's simple your image has to pass one of two tests " the would I hang it on my lounge wall" or " I've got so much to learn from this".

The choice is yours I am trying to be total honest with you.

    CrabbyEm says:

"The Shiba is a very intelligent but modest person. He looks closely at photographs and makes pertinent comments / observations. He has challenged some of the 'rules' of photography and has accepted the reasoning behind them and has been brave enough to re-evaluate his thoughts on certain areas of photography. Very much the perfectionist his photostream is small (at present) but every image is Quality.

Thanks for being one of my valued contacts."
