Thanks for dropping by and viewing my profile. I bought my first camera in 1963 it took 120 roll film, it cost 8/6p - 43p. It was a plastic Diana made in Hong Kong - it had a srange smell about it, if you own a Diana you'll know exactly what I mean. I've been taking pictures ever since. I adore black and white photography. I also developed and printed all my own work, but not anymore. Since joining flickr, I have, 'discovered' the genre of, 'street photography', this is what i want to do and do well, as of 2011, I've realised I need to shoot more and be more confident, if am to continue with Street Photography.
I have made a New Years resolution to use a focal length in 35mm equivalent terms not exceeding 85mm. In an attempt to make me get closer to my subjects and to stop shooting people in the back.
I also paint in oils on canvas panels, so if I post photo's intermittantly, it's probably because I am busy painting.
I also practice the fine art of being a flaneur.
My Second hand cameras are, a Canon G10. Fuji S 7000 (2). Olympus C-7070 and a new, Lumix TZ9. Which cost approximately £450.00 excluding memory cards; which proves you don't have to spend a fortune on equipment.
Memo - Stop buying cameras! and carry a camera at all times. Don't forget there's more than 36 frames in the camera since we went digital!
Please ask my permission if you want to use my photographs.
Or at least give me a by line if you don't,........ staying@live.co.uk or flickr mail me plz.

Comment and critique welcome, but please no flashy icons.
One of my favourite quotes is by Elvis Presley which is,
"You're only coming this way once Jack, you ain't coming back for an encore."
Thinking about it there could be a hidden message here for 'Street Photographers' within this quote from Elvis Presley, read it a couple of times and see what you think.
Regards Sherrlock.
