I'm married to an awesome guy and have two terrific kids. My husband's job brought us to Memphis. Its definitely not our favorite place to live and we hope to transfer out one day. I love this Flickr website as it has given me the opportunity to meet some people who I have now become friends with as well as being found by a cousin I didn't know I had.

Some of my interests:

I absolutely love taking pictures as well as looking at other people's pic's. I'm definitely an amateur, but lately I have been having better luck with my shots turning out.

Another absolute love is drawing and painting. However, I stopped drawing several years ago when I had my children. I did a few back in 2004, but got busy again. It is very hard to find the time with young ones. But recently, a Flickr friend of mine [thanks Jim], has inspired me to pick up the pencils and start drawing again. The other art I do is children's art - painting on ceiling tiles mainly. I paint whimsical type things on just about anything you can paint on for kids. It helps pay the bills and I really enjoy it. :-D

Another favorite is Nascar Cup and Busch racing. My dad got me hooked on racing back in the 70's and I would watch races with him. My favorite drivers are Dale Earnhardt, Jr., Elliott Sadler and Kenny Wallace. I also like Clint Bowyer and Denny Hamlin (have to support FedEx for my hubby). My favorite oldies were Buddy Baker, Earnhardt, Sr., and Cale Yarborough. So far I have only been to one Cup race in Atlanta and a couple Busch races here in Memphis. Hopefully, I'll be able to attend more one day.

Other interests are reading when I can - I'm an avid collector of Clive Cussler; watching HGTV, and I do cross-stitching while waiting in the car rider line to pick my kids up. My current project has taken me two years, so far to work on, but I am almost done. I love horses and horseback riding when I can - something I share with my daughter. I love jet airplanes and love to fly. I have a little bit of flying time under my belt and would love to finish getting my pilot's license one day. I especially love hanging out friends, having barbeques and spending time with my family.
