The real power of photography isn't in the technicality, its the moment captured, the story told, the feeling shared and the emotion stirred.

That's how I can best verbalise my feelings towards Photography. I don't think any photographer ever gets a technically perfect photo and I'm not sure a photographer should ever approach photography with that as their aim.

I'm inspired by many of the great 'masters' of photography, Cappa, Bresson etc. and desire above all, to be regarded as a photographer only because my images have 'spoken' to the viewer. I take my encouragement from comments but especially from knowing that I have 'touched' another's imagination or 'sparked' another's creativity maybe even helped 'recover' a lost memory

I live on the doorstep of the Peak District in North Staffordshire England with my wife Sue. When I'm not seen with a camera in my hand I'm either fishing or performing that other pastime of mine that takes the 9-5 Mon-Fri slot in my diary - Professional Software Development.

I'm on Twitter and Facebook and always open to making new contacts so feel free to hook up on any or all of those networks.
