To me, photography is an art of observation. It’s about finding something interesting in an ordinary place… I’ve found it has little to do with the things you see and everything to do with the way you see them.” ~Elliott Erwitt

In past lives I have rattled off the merits of luggage pieces, traveled to the Land of the Rising Sun to wrangle children and sent millions of dollars of currency around the world. That was then. This is now.

These days, I not only wrangle children but also adults into moments that create stunning portrait art for their walls. I do not believe the words “I am not photogenic”. I believe that every child is animated, every adult is beautiful and every dancer is a diva.

I AM A PHOTOGRAPHER.

I wait for moments. I scale fences and lie in the dirt if it will bring out the best in you. I skip through the fairytales of children, relish the love of families and capture the art of a dancer.

I am a teacher.

I distill the complexities of the modern digital camera into language that every mom-ographer or technology obsessed dad can understand.

I am an artist.

I create and perform solo dance work. I dance with a renowned troupe, dazzling audiences with full length productions. I teach. I study. I conceptualize costumes that my costume maker brings to fruition. I scrapbook. I create custom jewelry.

Want to know more about me?

I am an introvert with extroverted moments (ask me about aperture and shutter speed… go on. Dare you!) I am logical, analytical, left brained to a fault and yet, my favourite show is Glee. I am a purveyor of random facts. I am a cat loving, flip flop wearing, West Coast vegetarian spending my weekends hiking with my fiancé and week nights hoofing it from one dance class to another.

I am a traveler (4 continents down, 3 to go).
