I am a librarian who lives in RI and works in MA - near the ocean in both cases. I fell into the love of photography through taking pictures of swans that live on the bike path 1 mile from my house. I have an Olympus Digital SP550 all in one with 18x zoom for those faraway bird shots on the water at the bike path. My favorite part about taking pictures is the concentrated awareness and meditative aspect of tuning in to the world around me with a careful eye and a concern heart.
