In every place there is a secret beauty waiting to be uncovered. As an emerging photographer, I seek to reveal distinctive angles, unique colors, and ways to take you, the observer, into a new reality. I’ve been inspired by photography since childhood by shuffling through old photos my grandfather took during his military career in Okinawa, Berlin, and many other cities throughout Europe. Additionally, observing the work of many artists at home and abroad instilled fervor for the art within me. From these inspirations, I fashioned myself to be anything but typical, a rule breaker of sorts, hoping to make you freeze time and descend into my compositions.

My intentions with these photographs? My fiancé and myself would like to get a website up selling selling photographs as "fine art" (at least by early 2009) and then eventually start doing more formal work such as portrait sessions and weddings. The thing that's retarding our progress is the fact that I'm staring a career out of college, which of course consumes lots of my time. While the ultimate dream for us is to live off photography, we're being extremely careful so we don't end up in financial ruin!

I use a pinhole camera and an iMac...
