Hi! I'm Shandi-lee, a self-taught aspiring photographer. Although I've been shooting casually for many years with a point and shoot, I've only begun shooting more seriously in the past year, and I've acquired some more tools along the way. I now shoot with my baby, a Canon EOS 7D, and my lenses: EF-S 15-85mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM, and EF 50mm f/1.4 USM. I lack technical training, but I do not lack love, photography is the only thing that I am truly passionate about, and I enjoy learning things on my own.
I love to capture everything under the sun. Taking pictures and manipulating pictures is my favourite art form, I do like things to be kept realistic, but my shooting and processing styles are how I like to see the world--bright and beautiful! I love photographing flowers because their beauty astounds me and I get nervous when I think about them withering away. Even more fascinating than flowers, though, are people and their expressions, their eyes and their bodies. I have a collection of portraits of my friends and people I know, and of the one I know best, myself. I take self-portraits to practice technique, to express myself, as an excuse to dress up, and also when there is lack of a another model, (I seem to be around every time no one else is).
I want to share what I find is beautiful. When you look at my photographs I'm inviting you to see a glimpse into my life and understand how lovely the world can be, at least, from the eyes of a small, but big-hearted dreamer ♥!
