It's been awhile since I've updated this, and much of the info was outdated. So…out it goes! Here's the current situation as of 12/22/11.

I'm a professional photographer, and I shoot 99% of everything on film. I started by fooling around with cheap film cameras as a hobby. I decided to switch careers and become a professional photographer, at which point I shot mostly digital for my clients, but film for myself. After a couple of years I realized that I loved the look of film, and it was cruel to everyone that I was denying my clients that look. So I've been almost 100% film for about two years now.

Why "almost"? Well I do shoot some preschool portraits, and some occasional commercial work. And for that I use a dSLR. But for my 'real' work (portraits and weddings), it's film, film, film.

"So you are one of these digital shooting buddies never experienced the old analog days? I am like you. And I know rippo too. Just scroll down the large text to his cameras and recognize his deep passion. Its not enough? Watch his photos. They are the reasons why analog cameras still want to live.
By watching his gallery I get this very special feeling, I cannot describe it, but it says me that I love the photos cause they touch my very high aspiration of photography-appeal.
Thank you rippo, your work is fascinating and my personal pleasure."
