Who is Mykel Deitz? Well, he is a self-taught artist from Southern California. Mykel's style is mainly influenced by urban vinyl toys, urban graffiti, alternative cartoons and comics, Japanese culture, vector illustration, and the art movement known as low brow or pop surrealism. Mykel has lived in Southern California his whole life. He first began creating digital art in high school where he was learning 3D animation from there he got into vector illustration mainly influenced at the time by Genndy Tartakovsky's animated series "Samurai Jack" in 2001 and his work on the 2d animated version of "Star Wars: Clone Wars" in 2003 and Craig McCracken's "Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends" in 2004.
