I'm a mom. My favorite part of my life.
I'm a teacher. My day job is at an elementary school, K-6, teaching art. Plus, I love to teach any and all fiber related mediums to adults and children.
I love to make baskets. I started in the fall of 1978. I didn't know that I really wanted to make baskets. After my first small basket . . . I thoroughly enjoy figuring new ideas and figuring out patterns from import baskets, but mostly making up my own designs with texture and color.
Weaving, knitting and spinning followed so closely after learning to weave baskets that it's hard to focus on just one medium.
Dyeing cotton fabric has been a new addition to fiber related things to do . . . and I love quickie batik.
To pick a favorite - it's what ever I'm working on right now.
