I have been working in or around photography for over 35 years...

During my late teens and early 20s, I worked as a Freelance Assistant in and around the Philadelphia area, and learned a great deal from the Photographers I worked with.

Then I went back to college (Curry, Milton, MA), and started to get involved in computers, and eventually became a computer lab assistant, which introduced me to the early Photo and Desktop publishing software, and in my senior year, became an assistant "professor" in Desktop Publishing.

For a time I worked, at Kodak in their Electronic Desktop Publishing division (Billerica, MA), and watched as both computers and cameras entered the digital revolution. It was also at this point, I saw and used my first digital camera (a Kodak proto-type).

After Kodak, I moved into the Publishing industry at TV Guide (Radnor, PA), and started to witness the evolution of the Internet at 19.2 kbps dial-up speed and got my first 1GB hard drive at over $1000!

From TVG, I moved on to work at DuPont's Research and Development facility (Wilmington, DE) as a computer tech, which was very interesting because of the historical nature of the location (Gun powder mills, Nylon, Teflon, etc.). It was here that I really started to work with HTML and web publishing, and bought my first domain (1999 - www.aseymour.com/ ).

From DuPont, I ventured into System Admin roles at several pharmaceuticals companies, and really began to get involved with Data Storage, Backup as well as Disaster Recovery.

After 8+ years in the corporate environment, I decided to start my own consulting business, Seymour Digital Consulting, focusing on technical support and digital media (photography and the web).

I am happily married since 2000 to a wonderful wife, Amy, and we have two beautiful children, Madison and Logan, both of whom have been subjects of mine in front of my camera.
