Show us what the 7 Train means to you! Professional and amateur artists are invited by the Queens Museum of Art and Jeff Chien-Hsing Liao to look at the myriad aspects of the 7 Train and digitally submit up to 3 images that best capture the subway line dubbed "The International Express." Contest winners will be announced on July 29. Send your photos with your contact info via e-mail or mobile text messaging to 7trainphotocontest@queensmuseum.org. Read directions below.

Artist Jeff Chien-Hsing Liao will jury a competition and at a reception at the Queens Museum of Art on June 10, the three winners and 10 honorable mentions will be announced. The three winners will receive $50 gift certificates to B&H Photo and one year memberships to the Museum, while the honorable mentions will receive memberships to the Museum. All submitted work will be shown via digital slideshow in the QMA's Unisphere Café through the closing of Habitat 7 on August 16. E-mail for any questions! Contest directions below.

Photo Contest Directions:
1. Send up to 3 photos via e-mail or mobile text messaging to 7trainphotocontest@queensmuseum.org by July 27, 2006. Pictures can be taken on cell phones or digital cameras. All pictures will be posted to the QMA Seven Train Photo Contest Blog within 24 hours.

2. Include picture's title and location in the subject line.

3. If you prefer, include photo's description in the body of the message.

4. Also include your e-mail address so that we can contact you to invite you to the July 29 reception. Winning photographers will also be contacted via e-mail.

5. Images should be 150 dpi and no larger than 5 inches in height or width.
