I am a South African born writer, botanist, and ideas person interested in life’s journey, history, cultures, botanic gardens, and futures thinking.

Photography is a passion.

My approach is to look for the unusual angle and topic, shift its context, and then search for its soul and spirit. I like to work to themes and am drifting towards photo stories. I like the challenge of only publishing raw images and also enjoy the creative efforts of photo-shoppers. I think titles enhance and add interest to photographs and think a lot about the titles I use.

Humour in photography is important to me.

I am currently using a Nikon D60 camera.

I am working on a history of the the number seven, a book of poems and drawings, and a book on African Megaliths ('large stones').

I have another photo-blogging website (see below) where I develop themed postings mainly of the Czech Republic and Bath England. There is a little overlap in the photos.
