Welcome to The Serving Soldier Project

The Serving Soldier is a digital archiving project based in the Liddell Hart Centre for Military Archives, King's College, London. We look at the lives of soldiers both in and out of military service, particularly through the wonderful collections of photographs we have in our archive. These truly help to bring the past to life and give us some valuable insight into the experiences of soldiers at the time of the Boer War and World War I.
